People Against Valve's Steam download system

Many members and/or users who have bought Half-Life 2 or any recent game by the Valve compony are having problems with the STEAM download/delivery system. it is hard for some users to connect to and some users may not even have internet access. STEAM should not be required to be installed to play these games. when it is installed it is what we call a "resorce hog". it makes our computers run slow and may even crash the computer. we shouldnt have to pay $60 to play a game that we LEGALY bought to let Steam system not let the poeple play the game.

Valve, if you're listening, you are doing a great disservice to your customers. I agree with the previous poster who wrote, "I don't need another program wasting my space and eating up system resources." Not only that, but the damned game takes and hour to install and liscense.

I feel like a criminal jumping through all the hoops you've set before me. And, I don't need YOUR permission to play the game that I have legally purchased (for a considerable sum I might add).

This kind of nonsense just encourages piracy, it doesn't prevent it. In fact, even though I purchased the game, I will crack it if I can, just for the sake of convienience.

Steam is a loser.
