To BET (Black Entertainment Television):
We, the Hip Hop and Black community, are asking that BET and its staff, reconsider the videos that you play on your network. As, of recent, a video titled "Lovin' It" by a group that goes by the name of Little Brother signed to record label, Atlantic Records, was banned from your network because it was labeled "too intelligent" by your program director. If "Lovin' It" is too intelligent, then what should we be teaching the black youth? Supposedly, your network would rather teach black males to swipe credit cards in between a black woman's buttocks as depicted in Nelly's "Tip Drill" which is a video that was featured in heavy rotation on your television program titled "Uncut". We are disgusted and appalled at your decision to stop the airing of such videos as Little Brother's video "Lovin' It", depriving the black people and Hip Hop community of a balance in what type of music is out there. We hope BET and your staff reconsider your decision in the airing of Little Brother's "Lovin It". Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
