This time, Columbia Torch Lady finds a buried time machine from a deceased time traveler, and chaos ensues to protect her beloved Torch from the threats of history.She is first sent off to the Middle Ages, where she retrieves Excaliber and is shot at with arrows by unseen soldiers. She seeks refuge in a cannon, which fires and sends her flying towards a storm of arrows. She activates the time machine, but it hits her Torch. Right before she flies into the storm, the machine activates, sending her off to ancient Rome. She arrives in the Colisseum, where her robe gets caught on a chariot. She then appears in front of a wrecking ball, in front of the Fireworks Factory, on the tracks of a steam locomotive, and in front of Michelangelo's famous statue, David. She then punches the machine and is sent into a wormhole containing many time implements. She sees her Torch and attempts to reach it. She succeds, but is hit by a pocket watch and is sucked back into the wormhole, holding her Torch by one finger.In the end, In the end, Columbia Torch Lady lands in a field and finds a tree with a lot of Torchs. But when the time machine is about to work, Columbia Torch Lady breaks it. She tries to get her Torchs but she can't because the tree is made of bronze, and the worst part: it was man-made to let all know that there stood the last oak tree and the second worst part: Columbia Torch Lady is in the future. Columbia Torch Lady tries to go back in time to claim the first Torch that she had brought but the time machine breaks, leaving her stuck in the future, presumably forever until she dies. However, like Gone Torchy, this is not canon. THE TORCH LADY MADE A MOVIE! EVERYONE SHALL GO SEE IT!!!!! LOL!

I completely agree, and I find this deeply saddening. Since my enlightenment on Underground Hip-Hop awhile back, I barely even pay attention to mainstream anymore, and this is the prime reason why. And the worst thing is that most people do the opposite -- most don't even know the existence of the artists I enjoy. Since they don't, they listen to, and somehow, enjoy the majority of the songs on BET and television in general. For this reason, the people's standards (particularly the youth) are considerably lowered, and in a sense, they are becoming "corrupted". As a part of this youth (15 in case you're wondering), I am disgusted by what I see around me. And for reality's sake, you play a very big role in this. Music is not only a major form of entertainment, it is an art form, and you are in given the ability and responsibility of exposing the art to the public. I assumed that the majority of the people at BET also weren't aware of the existence of most of the more intelligent music and artists either -- now I see I am wrong, and I'm completely shocked. Too intelligent? TOO intelligent? Intelligence is what this music needs, and more so, just a general sense of importance. Rap has been criticized time and time again for its concentration on materialism, drugs, misogyny, partying, and the like, and you -- THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF SHOWING QUALITY TO OUR YOUTH, the head honchos of this industry -- are not only continuing this, but encouraging it. And as a Black Entertainment channel, you're stretching out mainly to that race, and therefore corrupting a large amount of your black viewers. I am extremely happy to find that I'm not the only one disturbed by this. Because of your decision, the incredible genre of Hip-Hop (or at least, the potentially-incredible genre of Hip-Hop) is often looked at as garbage: not even regarded as music, often considered a genre that requires no talent. If you’re like me, and you’ve listened to true Hip-Hop artists, if you’ve heard real rap in any sense, you know this is completely false and contradicts the truth. And apparently, judging from your statement, you also know. A vast amount of the music played on your channel instead revolves around hustlin' and crimes, drugs and parties, sex and violence. The fact that you're aware of intelligent Hip-Hop is utterly appalling, and just goes to show that you're using the viewers, and the music, as a tool. The bigger problem is that music is a huge portrayal of culture in general, and often relates to the interests of the people who enjoy it. Because an overwhelming majority of the music found on the likes of BET and MTV has so little intelligence, and has such a huge affect on society, well, you do the math. The outcome is likely people resulting in this little intelligence, and instead being interested in the topics (those I previously listed) discussed in this music. This creates ignorance at its finest, and this decision does nothing but spread ignorance. Ignorance that is often unintentional by the people, as they simply don't know what's out there. What is out there is amazing, and if more were actually aware of its existence, and if you got more listening and interested to it, the world would be a better place for it. If BET were the first to do this, as risky and brilliant of a move this would be, you would almost certainly to garner immediate praise, and more importantly, break a plethora of the obstacles in mainstream Hip-Hop (and music in general) and largely cut down on the unintentional ignorance of quality shown by the people. A lot of rap is powerful and influential, and with more of the world witnessing this more powerful and intelligent rap, it would naturally spread. I can only imagine how incredible this could be, but it's going to take work to achieve this. This would create a significant difference in what songs get play time, and the songs that deserve to get the recognition and deserve to be heard, finally will be. So BET, I plead this to you: Start with this Little Brother song, and eventually you might make a difference. Do Hip-Hop justice, do music justice. Play what's worth playing, give this industry what it needs, and I guarantee you'll benefit the world, and it will benefit yourselves. So BET, let's hear some real Hip-Hop, shall we?

I used to watch BET as a child. To say that the youth is not influenced by today's music is BS. The youth is HEAVILY influenced by everything they see, especially hip-hop. Luclkily, I grew up during a time where there was atleast some balance in the game. I am 23 now, and appauled because I would say that close to 90% of the music you play is pure garbage. I would be satisfied if even 70% was real hip-hop (and i don't mean underground backpackin shit). Artists such as Kanye, Outkast, Nas, AZ,and ofcourse Little Brother are exactly what could create this balance. And when Saigon drops his album I expect you will not deny the masses from hearing his music, because he has much commercial appeal to the same people who probably listen to G-Unit and Game and believe it or not he is still saying something. (Not that Game isnt)
